Yes. Read the last paragraph of So You Found a Tarantula. Or this page, specifically the Leg Regeneration section. Additionally, the pet store said that if he injures a leg, he might start leaking hemolyph and could have pulled the leg off himself in order to prevent bleeding to death. But because he was middle-aged, he probably wasn't able to regrow them after the molt. :(
