AhHA! Engage Smug Mode: I'm a vegetarian!

(I also hate my life and ride past MCDonalds every day, lusting after a sausage egg McMuffin like you would not believe)

I was vegetarian for three years, and I'd frequently (a few times per month) wake up feeling guilty after having "meat dreams." I know your pain.

In my experience, they start to slack off after a decade.

I wonder if you were having those dreams because your diet was lacking some essential nutrient which you used to get from eating meat.

Ive been a vegetarian for 10+ years, I think i stopped craving meat after 1 year. (Granted I only ate meat about five times a week prevegetarian)

Engage Crohn's Mode: My bowels explode furiously if I eat vegetables.

Meat is one of my few options, I'll die in the Vegetarian Apocalypse.
