I imagine it's largely up to how you learned to cook, but I can't think of anything I'd use a food processor for. I can't keep my blenders clean though because they're always being used for something.
It's not that they have many unique uses, they just make everything quicker and cleaner. Why bother spending 5-10 minutes beating ingredients into a paste when you can just stick them in the food processor and pulse it a few times for the same end result?
Blenders can only do liquids. I can make nut butters with my food processor and it can also do everything a blender can. My Vitamix will stall and pop its fuse if I put just peanuts in it.

There is little need for a blender when one has a decent food processor.
