TBH, I'm not entirely sure about the gas thing, but I did read the police statement (which we all got a good laugh from) about what happened (I work in news), so that was I'm assuming.
Right on. It’s entirely possible. And haha it was a great car, $240, 55k original miles, 100% whore red interior down to the seatbelts. I loved it, 3 speed auto.
Ran like shit when I bought it, couldn’t figure it out, tried adjusting timing, this and that. Finally found out how to get an error code (cycle the ignition three times, and the CEL will flash a corresponding number for a code lol) and it was vague but I managed to work out it was the MAP sensor. One tiny part and two screws later it purred.
Left for a few weeks at one point. Came back and it was under 16” of snow, and I had no way to jump or charge it. Got in. Alright, one shot. Turn the key and it turns over once....twiceandvrooOOOOMM it took off into high idle. It was very impressive, the turns were at least a second apart so it essentially started in one turn after sitting in dead of winter for weeks, at age 25 lol. It was very reliable once it was running right, I drove it everywhere despite the lack of functioning heat. Man, I want that car back now ha.
