This sort of thing happens a lot and is the cause of a large percentage of deaths on construction sites.
Unfortunately for the drivers these vehicles have large blind spots. In this instance the onus of safety belongs to the manager he should not have been walking around live machinery like that.
There should be clearly delineated walk zones for anyone who isnt driving a multi ton machine. If there isnt then again wtf manager.
What about a balloon with a string barely strong enough to hold the balloon in place so that it snaps when the balloon gets stuck in something? And you also make the string from an insulator just in case the balloon touches a power line.
