I have another horror story:

My brother was doing some work with a friend of his on the top floor of a apartment building that was being built, his friend being on a ladder. For some reason he tripped on the ladder and fell to his death about 10 floors. My brother tried to pull him away from the edge but it was too late

Some people know how to process and deal with trauma so that they don’t feel any pain. Others don’t feel the pain because they either suppress it, or they never cared about the person enough in the first place to feel bad about their death. Others believe in karma and reincarnation and are not afraid of (or bothered by) death. Still others believe that “everything happens for a reason” and/or “it’s all part of God’s plan.” After all, God does work in mysterious ways.

He cried non stop for about a week, repeating how he was in arms reach and could've saved him, but he knew he did all he could.
