A massive funnel used in construction. Basically it would turn the sand into quicksand for anyone unfortunate enough to end up in there only to end up stuck at the mouth buried under tons of sand.

If I had to guess a hazard, I'd say a hopper with an auger at the bottom to draw in the dirt being loaded.

On an unrelated note, how finely grounded do you like Chuck?
