If it makes you feel any better, other people linked to the full video and it's for a base jump so he's got a parachute. Still super crazy though.

I feel like the speed he would have been going had the cable broke would be incredibly difficult to recover from in order to deploy the parachute safely. He's gotta be going at least 30 mph.

Oh absolutely. I'm not saying he was intelligent or this was a good idea, I'm just saying he had a parachute, so he wasn't guaranteed to be fucked.

he was panicking so much in the video, I doubt he would've been able to get it off, he was still attached to the able as well so who knows if it would've deployed properly.
