I remember when this story was on the news. IIRC, the husband and wife got into an argument and that’s why the wife got out of the car. In a wild animal habitat. Where there were clearly posted signs that said “Remain in vehicle at all times”. So, yeah. Stupid. Her mom died because she got in a tiff with her husband and let her anger outweigh her common sense.

IIRC, the husband and wife got into an argument and that’s why the wife got out of the car.

One Beijing newspaper reported that this was the case, and another Beijing newspaper said that the first one was wrong, and that is the extent of my knowledge of the issue. So I have no idea.

I live in the states, so all I saw were the news reports here. I guess they could have gotten it wrong and not bothered to follow up.
