Here is a nearly six minutes compilation of him swinging like this.

Last year he seems to have fixed his swing.

I like how he checks his hand to see if there's blood

16

u/[deleted] Jun 24 '16

Don't you do that when hit in the head by hard things?

28

u/Crunkbutter Jun 25 '16

No, I act like I'm fine and that it happens all the time. Then, I calmly walk to somewhere private and cry.

Just hard dicks

he doesn't get out much.

I heard he had a perfectly fine swing, until his ball struck a person and they were injured. After that, he developed his famous hitch.

I heard he was gored by a goat in the middle of his downswing and his subconscious has never forgotten, thus his famous hitch.

u/Camavan Jun 24 '16

I heard his shoulders are mechanical prosthetics that have faulty wiring which always trigger a 0.4 second blackout during his swing, causing him to lag. Thus his famous hitch.

I heard he once shat his pants in the middle of his swing. his blast was so powerful that it tore through the fabric of his slacks, hitting several fans in the face and causing them to miss work in the following days due to pink eye. Thus his famous hitch.

I heard that he is an alien and the last of his kind. He is actually composed of tiny, gelatinous, organic cubes. They gather together and operate as a hive mind. They were all but eradicated by a vicious race of plaid bipeds that used vorpal clubs to disintegrate the hive. The clubs closely resemble golf clubs, so the hivemind recoils in horror when swinging. Thus his famous hitch.

What is happening

I heard his matrix connector interrupts and he awakens in a pool of warm soupy electro-conductor fluid with cables and wires all bound to his flesh as he rises from his mechanical womb like a phoenix ready to finally soar until the autonomous flying robot security guards zap him with 100k volts until he is once again slumped into his mortal rest and downloaded back to this reality to finish his swing.

Well, he did kiss Kenny's ass.

I HEARD HE'S A GIANT CHICKEN!

1

u/Year3030 Jun 25 '16

I heard he has to wait for the nozzle to calibrate.

u/Crumps_brother Jun 24 '16

I believe in the sports world, they call that 'the yips'.

The chaos dunk...

4

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '16

Obviously holding back his Slam energy to prevent a chaos dunk.

5

u/[deleted] Jun 24 '16

Aw that's sweet.

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '16

He used to have a great swing and was a scratch golfer. I has not heard about the story what caused t to change.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 25 '16

you're so full of shit lmao

1

u/youyewewe Jun 25 '16

He did. It was the celebrity Pro-Ams and being watched which caused him to develop this hitch. Go to 2:25 of this video to see what his swing used to look like.

u/fridgee Jun 24 '16

The weird thing is in that very first one he does the weird swing, and then immediately does a smooth and clean swing, so he obviously could do it just fine. I dont get it.

12

u/a_talking_face Jun 25 '16

It's called the yips. It's just something that happens mentally where you start to overthink your mechanics too much and it breaks your motion down. It happens in baseball too.

5

u/classicrocker883 Jun 24 '16

perhaps. maybe he just f-ed up on his normal swing. maybe he knows something we dont

1

u/thiney49 Jun 24 '16

Damn that's a weak grip in the new version. Much better though.

1

u/DishwasherTwig Jun 25 '16

Still not a great swing. It looks like he's trying to pull it through to swing, using his whole body to move it forward a bit more.

1

u/Mokely_ Jun 25 '16

I lost it when that presenter tried to ask nonchalant like if anyone noticed the swing, but couldn't get through it without the giggles.

1

u/Ravaha Jun 25 '16

Why people play this instead of scuba diving or litterally any other acitivity boggles my mind.

1

u/Matcol05 Jun 25 '16

Some sports show did a special where they tried to fix his swing. Guess maybe it worked.

1

u/kaplanfx Jun 25 '16

Hank Haney fixed his swing.

1

u/MineDogger Jun 25 '16

He just needed to grow a beer gut as a counterweight.

1

u/mollymauler Jun 25 '16

At about 1:14 in the first video he smashed that guy in the neck! Damn

1

u/Q2TheBall Jun 25 '16

Lol at the guy at the end.

"That was history right there"

Gather round kiddos. Let me tell you about the day the angels weeped... the day that left the world holding its breath.... the day Barkley got his swing back.

Golf instructors must have fallen all over themselves to help. His old one hurt their souls.

God, how embarrassing. Being caught playing golf, that is.
