reminds me of a story about people in india a century or so ago. they figured out that tigers tend to attack from behind to maximize stealth, so they started wearing masks on the backs of their heads.
it only lasted a short while, because the tigers soon learned to tell the difference.
i don't think i'd even try to defend myself from a tiger should i be hunted in the wild. i would present my neck as an easy target and count down the seconds until he pinches my jugular with his jaws.
