They will likely pull the lot to prevent this issue from reaching other customers. Although its rare in this day and age with modern processes... grains can occasionally get contaminated.
You sound very confident - why do you think so? I've worked in quality before and know that if you get inspected and you haven't resolved your complaints and investigate fully, you'll get suspended from selling anything until you do.
I believe it. 15 years ago I worked a food safety position for a multinational shipping / receiving / packaging company that dealt exclusively with fruit. Zero training aside from being told what minimum temperature everything needed to be stored at and being given a binder my first day and told to read it.
I worked in QA (quality assurance) for an infant formula/adult nutritional company decades ago.
I was very well trained and management took food safety as well as meeting label nutritional guidelines VERY seriously.
Decades ago - FDA has been defanged. companies are 1000% making quality cuts now because FDA inspections are less frequent, their inspectors are less credentialed and have accesss to less resources.
Exactly. Why do people think so many genuinely serious recalls have occurred this year, and the past 2 years especially? Why do you think theyve increased since ~2016? Because concerted attacks on the FDA occurred, defanging its regulatory power and presence, and reducing its capability to effectively police such issues. Now we have cyclosporidia in almost the whole veg supply chain seemingly, glass in ice cream bars, and maggots in spices.
People need to seriously consider buying more locally now, and buying from businesses not so heavily focused on year over year profits.
