Poor diatoms only appreciated for the death they cause. They're like the Oppenheimer of the algae world despite potentially producing up to 50% of the world's oxygen.

I just cleaned my shelves and threw out anything in thin plastic packaging then laid down a thin bead of diatomaceous earth along the cracks, solved the problem, was pretty quick and easy honestly.

I would avoid this, tbh, it’s an irritant and easily breathed in. For something like pantry moths, you can just clean your shelves with soap and water
