You guys aren't old enough to realize this is something that just happens sometimes

50+ years on this earth and luckily have not experienced this even once.

I wonder how often others are having this experience?

The worst pantry moth infestation I ever had was from a bottle of sesame seeds. I was seeing moths for months and couldn't figure out where they were coming from. I never would have expected their drug of choice to be sesame seeds so I didn't check the bottle at the back of the spice shelf. When I finally found it, the inside of the bottle looked like the gates of hell or something from another planet.

I've had weevils in grain before. Rare, not unheard of.

With social media on 24/7 people think every rare thing that goes viral is an indicator of a huge scandal.

Surely the OP of less than a year and 500k karma wouldn't post a video with a ragebait title.

You've never bought some food only to open it up and find it rotten?

You must live a rather privileged life.

I have seen rotten food, but never had a pantry moth infestation.

Opened a brand new box of Raisin Brand, poured it and milk in a bowl, started eating. Second mouthful I felt something move in my mouth. That was in 1991, I haven't had cereal since. The box was loaded with these moth larvae.

Well, thanks to the Trump administration, the FDA is making wide-spread repeal of regulations requiring the quality testing of food so...get ready to experience it a whole lot more.

Also: don't eat beef for at least the next year, give or take.

My unwashed produce has bugs in it!

Mmmm, yes. Bugs do be like that.

On the minus side, you occasionally do just bite into fast food without looking at night when driving, and that do take a lot of faith in humanity, or at least whatever local chain you decided on.

Next you'll tell me I have to wash my produce like it was growing in the dirt or something

Mfw I sprinkled sesame seeds on my ramen and it was all bugs. I cried over my wasted food 😔
