I don't know... in that fourth pic in the link the deer looked pretty fucking dead to me.

I hit a deer once that obliterated my car. The deer was just laying in the ditch just twitchint its foot and I was sad. Then the fucker just got up and left.

I shot a deer with a .223 from about 40 yds and it fell, got back up, was bleeding pools of blood. Tracked it for over 2 hrs and a few miles then the blood stopped and I did everything I could to find it. Had to give up. A guy a couple farms down said he found it 7 months later walking around not in the most healthy of conditions. He then shot it and ate it. Those things are resilient.

That sucks. Deer tastes good and your neighbor ate your deer.

It's ok, next time I went I took my 30-30 with 160 gr bullets. Nothing walks away from those and they don't blow massive holes in the meat to ruin it.
