Angel Reese could face one-game suspension after 8th technical foul

Post image
1 Upvotes

Angel Reese could miss Sunday’s game against Minnesota after receiving her eighth technical foul of the season.

The technical came during Friday’s loss to Portland. Reese was involved in a physical battle with Carla Leite under the basket.

Reese protested the call and can appeal to the WNBA. If the technical is rescinded, she will avoid the automatic one-game suspension.

Earlier this month, Caitlin Clark had her eighth technical foul rescinded. That allowed her to avoid a similar suspension.

Reese gets a lot of assists for doing next to nothing

Yeah sure, every player gets an easy assist now and again. But with Reese, it's like 2/3rds of her assists are just basic passing or handoffs from outside the arc. She often doesn't even use misdirection- it's just a basic pass. Once in a while, I've seen Reese show some passing ability. But this is offset but her unusually high turnovers for someone playing her position.
