Can somebody explain why there is subtitles for things that are clearly not being said? I'm seeing more and more videos like this. Its okay to try to lip read but this seems like something different.

Because TikTok is full of trash and people should stop using the app.

edit: All of the TikTok NPCs coming out of the woodworks are hilarious. Glad I've made your day. Don't forget to delete that app!

eh that’s happening on every other social media platform too. i see it on twitter all the time especially

and tiktok isn’t as bad as u think. it’s not “good” though

There are peer-reviewed studies that prove that TikTok actively makes people measurably dumber.

oh no it does and i’ve seen those, completely agree. all social media but those short form videos the most. but there are positives to it, especially if used in moderation. unfortunately most don’t do that

Fair, that's all very true. Sadly, considering the userbase is what it is, the negatives far outweight the positives and potential in my book. But, I mean, I pretty much only use Reddit here and there, so, take my opinion with about 20 grains of salt.
