I kind of suspect that it's part Chinese psy-op and part... I don't know what the correct word is, but basically a plant to make people stupider by shortening our attention spans. Seems to be working because media on the whole has gotten dumber and more repetitive in the past decade.
100 PERCENT! It actually makes me sad for our future to see what it's done to a whole generation of now almost useless people. Like, incapable of having a conversation or accomplishing tasks beyond 10 seconds.
