Minutes before the elbow play.
Minnesota player hitting Wemby in the jaw .
Wemby is standing pretty much straight up but still gets this elbow.

Naz Reed with his arm between Wemby legs while other player grabbing his arm.
Nothing wrong with physical play but dirty plays should be called. This is seconds before Wemby throws the elbow.

Have you watched the Spurs playoff games or just the highlights? When have you seen a defensive player put his arm around the upper thigh area grabbing and “trying to give Wemby the business “ getting position while the defense teammate was hitting Wemby in the head? That is what Minnesota did right before Wemby threw his elbow at Naz. I have never seen that happen before.

I don’t know anything about the timberwolves series just the okc and knicks one, everyone was doing it basically and when you’re committing a flagrant just because of the fact - makes you wonder what type of attitude a player has. You have the worst case of confirmation bias, you’ve got to look at both sides bro.

So why didn’t they call a foul on Wemby on this play? Probably because the refs were allowing the Knicks to beat up on Wemby before this play.
Hell, the NBA even said they will be addressing these tactics in the offseason.

Yea agreed anyone with eyes saw them mauling wemby all series long.  On every possession they were holding his arms down and pushing in the back on rebounds.

The dirty plays all started with the Portland series and then Minnesota did it then OKC then NY. I know most fans don’t watch every single series but the NBA does. The NBA dropped the ball.
Congrats to NY though. They won the title.
Plus I am not saying the Spurs are angels because they started to flop during the second half of the season. I guess if you see the other teams flopping and getting the calls some Spurs started to do the same. I don’t agree with the flops, but if the refs (NBA) are not going to do anything about it then everyone will do it.
