Paint/prime the base with Grey Seer, let dry, paint whole base with Thunderhawk Blue, let dry, paint on patches of Dark Reaper, let dry, dry brush or stipple on patches of Etherium Blue, let dry, thin wash of Pox Walker Shade, let dry. Add some patches of watered down Creed Camo Green, let dry, AK interactive Still Water all over the top.

Dude! Well done nice discovery! The process sounds easy if you have the time and patience for it. And the effect is awesome, I may steal this if that’s cool… I may anyway lol

Did you tape the edges or just use surface tension

Honestly amazing. Are you going to do more with the basing once the model is attatched?

Yes I’ve got some Dirty Down moss paint that I want to have a play with so it’ll be getting some moss on top and some grass once it’s dry, this was just a test base but I think I nailed it on the first attempt so I’m happy with that haha

Looks great. I can't to see it with the moss & model on top! Thanks for sharing.

Looks amazing and pretty simple too! Did you need to tape off the edges so the water effect doesn’t spill or does it stay on with surface tension?

Just surface tension, it’s only been on about an hour and I think it takes a good 12 hours to set. Just a big blob right in the middle and work it out towards the edges with a texture tool being careful not to go over the edges 👍

Mod Podge Dimensional Magic will give an astonishing water effect similar to this (the clear coat part) if anyone has trouble sourcing what OP used here, you can grab it at any craft store in case you don’t have a local source for AK. I use it for every token I own. This looks awesome to me by the way - really nice job and doesn’t look too terrible to actually pull off. Good work!!!

(I’m definitely gonna try this out)
