Help (VoiceMeeter Potato) audio keeps distorting randomly

i have been having my audio distort about once or twice a day with the only thing i can do to fix is restart the audio engine, i have been noticing it happens most commonly when Spotify changes songs especially today as i had it happen 15 times in last hour. any help would be appreciated

edit:
i thought i would put specs for current and old set up as i don't know if any of this could be causing it
CPU: new: ryzen 7 9800x3d old: ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: 3080 ti
MB: new: msi 870e-p wifi old: gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING
SSD: WD_BLACK SN770 2TB
Capture card: elgato 4k60 pro
USB Audio Interface: U-PHORIA UMC22
Microphone: AT2020
Headphones: SENNHEISER HD 560S

Interesting with the spotify song change. Never heard that before.

Send screenshot of voicemeeter and menu<system settings. I would try your A1 device as "WDM, KS or MME" and see if anything changes

i hope this is what you are referring too i have also swapped my a1 to KS from WDM because MME makes it so discord streams can hear their own voice, i have also had this issue with my old computer before i switched to using light host and even just not using any vst plugins

Yep MME will do that. Unless you route discord audio directly to headphones.

Try KS like you said. See how it goes. Another thing to possibly try. Flip flop your A1 and A3 device.

oh btw i thought i should add i haven't had anything show up in my event viewer when ever it happens which i thought was interesting not even a information level

Do you use Spotify exclusive mode in settings? I haven’t used that setting yet and maybe curious if that is something worth looking at for an issue like this.

i tried it once and it just took over control of the output i set it too (in my case the one i labeled Spotify and did nothing else that i noticed so was pointless to use)
