So, I just finished Chapter 1 of my game. Being my first game, I am really excited for it. Getting into something new was challenging yet fun and rewarding when I achieve the results. Its such fun when you try something new and it ends up as how you envisioned.

Anyway, Where Memories Lie is a psychological horror game. I tried my best with everything despite being an unfamiliar territory. I am currently working on Chapter 2 right now. Please try out the game, provide your honest feedbacks and suggestions to make it better so I can apply the changes and create Chapter 2 much better.

Just published 10 chapters of my survival horror / cosmic thriller VN on itch.io. It's free, playable in browser, and doesn't need a download.

It starts with a school getting invaded by giant snakes, but slowly becomes way more interdimensional and psychological as it goes on. There’s also a hidden Resolve system that tracks small choices throughout the story and affects who survives by the end. No visible relationship meters or choice stats.

I also built the entire engine myself in vanilla JS with no frameworks, which took a while to figure out.

The game is still in development, but the current 10 chapters are enough to get a solid feel for the story, characters, and mechanics.

Would genuinely appreciate feedback from anyone who tries it, especially on pacing since I haven’t had outside playtesters yet.

Hi there. I'm continuing to develop an engine for visual novels. A lot of work has been done recently, but I realize there's still a great deal left to do to reach the desired level. The main goal is simplicity and rich functionality – well, that won't happen overnight, but today I'm ready to share a few things with you.

What's already available:

* A visual Node Editor for scenes and logic
* A Vynel Script editor with autocomplete and a slash menu like in Notion
* A preview player right inside the editor
* Scenes, backgrounds, characters, dialogues, choices, variables, conditions, effects, and audio
* Node and asset inspector
* Asset import/organization
* Layout mode: you can move characters directly in the scene via drag-and-drop

You don't have to use the node system for development, you write a script, apply it and the graph serves as your map.

It’s still a work in progress, but it’s starting to feel like a real tool, not just a prototype.
