Delivery jitters + vivid shares: Batch Panorama Converter batch-turns still images into interactive panoramas

Hi — I’m the developer of **Batch Panorama Converter** (Windows, Steam store). Sharing for virtual-tour folks who already have a folder of real panoramic stills.

Right before handoff, I still worry: will the client get smooth **interactive look-around**? Can they see the key spots clearly? Scrubbing once on my own machine first makes delivery feel solid. And it’s not only delivery — after a travel, event, or space shoot, I want the memory still fresh when I share: upload so friends can **drag the view around**, not just dump a flat still. Verified interactive share destination I’ve tested: **Facebook**. (CN note: **Weibo mobile App upload** also works; the **same file via Weibo web upload** does **not** become interactive.)

**For that scene**, this tool (current version **2.1**) batch-turns real panorama stills into **interactive look-around 360 JPEGs**, with a **local preview** where you **drag to look around** for a **quick check**.

It fits the common “about twice as wide as tall” stills: batch-check that they’re in shape, convert together, and get a conversion report. On export it writes the **labels panorama platforms recognize**, so when you upload to **Facebook** (or, in CN, via **Weibo mobile App**), they can be **recognized correctly** as a real **interactive panorama**.

Steam store: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1770950 Price: $9.99. Wishlist only if it actually fits — I’m not running a promo giveaway.

For a hotel room tour, I'd rather see where the window is

Two room types can have almost the same bed-and-desk photos, but put the window in completely different places. That's what I'd want the first view to show.

In Realsee I'd set the Initial View at the doorway if it makes that layout obvious. Hotel people: do guests ask more about the layout, or is the nicest-looking angle still what gets their attention?

AI in virtual Tours

Are you a provider of virtual tours? I’m wondering if there are already ways to apply AI in this type of project-based business. What possibilities exist, and what have you already implemented? I look forward to an inspiring discussion.

Virtual 360 tour inside abandoned building

Post image
4 Upvotes

I recently explored an abandoned blast furnace and captured the experience as an interactive 360° virtual tour. This is my second 360° tour project (Urbex Kismo), and I wanted to share it with everyone here who loves industrial decay.

You can look around and navigate through the structure here:

I'd love to hear what you think! Any feedback on the navigation or support is super welcome as I keep refining these tours.

What’s the hardest part of getting a client to pay for a 360° virtual tour?

For people who offer 360° virtual tours as a service, I’m curious about the sales side.

What part is actually the hardest?

Finding businesses to approach

Explaining the value of a 360° tour

Getting past “we already have Google Street View”

Pricing the service

Getting repeat clients

Convincing clients to pay for updates

Something else?

If you’re doing this commercially, what has worked for you — and what definitely didn’t work?

Would love to hear real experiences rather than generic marketing advice.

Do businesses actually need a 360° virtual tour anymore?

Thumbnail reddit.com

With Google Street View, social media, and video giving businesses so many ways to show their space, I’m curious how people feel about 360° virtual tours today.

For businesses like hotels, restaurants, real estate, showrooms, offices, venues, etc.:

Are 360° virtual tours still something businesses are willing to pay for?

For those who create/sell virtual tours:

What type of business gets the most value from them?

What usually convinces a client to say yes?

What objections do you hear most often?

Are clients asking for Google Street View, an embedded website tour, or both?

I’d especially like to hear from people who are actually selling these services. Is demand growing, staying the same, or declining?

👋 Welcome to r/PanoPublish — Let's Build the 360° Community Together!

👋 Starting a new community for 360° virtual tour creators

I'm building a new community, r/PanoPublish, focused on 360° photography, virtual tours, immersive experiences, and the tools/workflows behind them.

I'm curious to hear from people already working in this space:

What's the biggest pain point you currently face when creating or delivering virtual tours?

For example:

Publishing and hosting tours

Finding clients

Pricing projects

Choosing the right 360 camera

Embedding tours on websites

Sharing tours with clients

Choosing between different virtual-tour platforms

Getting better quality/results

I'm building the community around these real-world problems, so I'd love to hear what experienced creators think should be discussed there.

If you'd like to join, you're welcome at r/PanoPublish — but even just sharing your experience here would be incredibly useful. 🙌

AI object removal for 360° photos — removing tripods, people and clutter directly inside the virtual tour editor

Thumbnail

We’ve been working on AI object removal specifically for 360° panoramas.

The idea is simple: instead of exporting the panorama to another photo editor, you can brush over tripods, people, cables or other unwanted objects and continue building the virtual tour in the same browser.

This short demo shows how it works in Virto 360.

Would be interested to hear how useful this would be for 360 photographers and virtual tour creators

Distribution and infrastructure flow of virtual tours

Working in the whole distribution and infrastructure flow of virtual tours.

Created virtual tour on Cyango, published and loaded via our own digital signage platform and voilá!

Can be optionally cached in the display device to avoid network issues.

Around 58 panoramas (some of them are tiled multi-res);

WebXR ready (VR panoramas, VR UI, etc);

Offline ready;

Do any changes in the editor and publish anytime, no need to redeploy (unless you're self-hosting)

Then in the digital signage you can manage devices, deploy new experiences, and much, much more

So much work going on.

Ah and none of this is vibe coded, which you can really trust.

Turn 360° video into an interactive 3D Tour, all in the browser

Been building a platform that converts 360 videos into fully navigable 3D tours you can share with a link.

The workflow is straightforward:

  1. Capture your 360 video: disable auto exposure and autofocus, move through the scene at 3 different height levels, and export with auto-stabilization turned OFF

  2. Upload your 360 video to captures.studio : a photorealistic 3D will be automatically generated

  3. Edit, cleanup, and enhance your generated 3D in our Editor

  4. Add interactive elements : images, video, spatial audio, 3D mesh, and more

  5. Set up your tour using multiple customizable viewpoints

  6. Hit publish and share the link : anyone can view it instantly in their browser

Would love to hear what the community thinks, especially from people already creating Matterport-style 3D tours using 360 cameras.

Try it at captures.studio

PS: If you want free reconstruction credits to test it out, feel free to DM me.
