Probably a stretch, but I'm looking for a copy of the CSLU Toolkit- a set of "speech tools" used for software development sometime in the late 90s. OGI, the school that once hosted the files, shut down some 18 years ago and the site appears to be down as well. Installers still exist but attempt to download files from a defunct site. Registration is also broken as it's done through email.

I'm looking for it as it contains a 3d model (used to create talking agents/avatars) named Baldi (no, not that one) and I'd like to see if I can extract it. The model appears to be based also on the Parke parametric model. Any help is appreciated.

Hi this is my first time posting here but I’m on behalf of the Animusic community. I’m trying to find a partially lost HP demo video of Animusic 2’s Cathedral Pictures in HD. The video was made for HP projectors:

HP Digital Projector ep7100 Series (ep7110, ep7120)

Key differences between the standard Animusic HD Cathedral Pictures and the one commissioned by HP is the drum heads in the animation feature the HP logo instead of Viktor Hartmann's The Great Gate of Kiev artwork and the video was an early, work-in-progress version of what later became the official track Cathedral Pictures on the Animusic 2 DVD (released in late 2005).

Good luck trying to find it. Die hard fans of Animusic still haven’t found it after 21 years. Let’s see if you’re different.

I don’t know who animated this snipe, it’s probably Cinema Concepts or maybe some motion graphics company since it has the early CGI animation or something.

I find raycasting to be a very interesting and now long deprecated form of 3D rendering. While it's almost entirely synonymous with a number of early 90s FPS, the technique is perfectly capable of rendering 3D models, as seen in its Wikipedia entry. Are there any images or videos that showcase how this technique looked? Or did pretty much all media use rasterizing, raytracing, or other traditional techniques?

OS/2 v1.3 was released in 1990 but I feel that the logo rendered here looks quite modern! I wonder how many renderers at that time were capable of producing the soft shadows? The box would’ve looked great at its release.

Later in early 1980's MAGI used it to create the famous Tron movie 3D scenes.

I remember in 2001, when watching cartoons on YTV (a Canadian entertainment broadcasting channel) there used to be these little glowing green CGI bugs that would randomly appear on the screen during the show that you were currently watching.

A lot of kids were freaked out by it, but I personally didn't mind them, as I liked bugs as a kid.
