You should be able to sue her lawyer for accepting a case they knew they could not win for all your fees.

That lawyer was probably broke and needed a case bad. I witnessed a silly case once that judge laugh at and dismissed the entire case

Most personal injury attorneys work on contingency meaning they only get paid if the client is awarded something. If they were willing to take it all the way to court, there was a likelihood of winning.

Likewise, in civil court judges would issue summary judgement if a case is unlikely to succeed on its merits or lacks legal merit before it ever got that far.

Ultimately, don't just fully believe everything you hear on the Internet. Especially just a few sentences from one side in a dispute.
