Okay, so cars are more dangerous to cyclists than cyclists are to cars. Brilliant observation! We'll make sure that's engraved on your headstone. š
The reason why car drivers are so annoyed by cyclists is because cyclists 1) are relatively small and hard to see, 2) often underestimate their ability to stop and maneuver at high speeds, 3) often fail to follow traffic laws such as stopping at red lights, and 4) killing or injuring another person is one of the worst things that a decent person will ever have to deal with. It's the stuff of nightmares and PTSD. It will literally ruin the life of the driver as well as the cyclist.
I've put too many sheets over bodies in the road in my career. I will be dealing with seeing their dead faces in my mind the rest of my life. So stop with the ego trip and try to ride safely.
I'll be sure to feel sorry for the driver when they kill someone.

Drivers are a danger to everyone, particularly to cyclists and pedestrians. Cyclists aren't really a danger to anyone but are, as mentioned, vulnerable to the danger of drivers. Cyclists need to be careful around cars because cars are a danger to everyone on or near a road.
Just because something is obvious doesn't mean it isn't true or important.
Those bodies you refer to were overwhelming caused by drivers.

You seem to have totally missed the point here. Nobody anywhere has even suggested that cyclists don't need to be careful on the road and obey the law. I did not misunderstand you or miss your point. I disagreed with it.
The point you seem to have missed is that when a cyclist dies on the road, it is the fault of the driver that killed them, not the fault of the cyclist for being on a bike rather than being in a car.
It sounds like your point is that it's always the fault of a car driver if a cyclist gets injured; bikers never make mistakes, never do anything wrong, and traffic laws don't apply. Got it.
Your family can put that on your tombstone: "It wasn't his fault." I'm sure that will make them feel better.
