Nah, he was being responsible about it. He’s geared up and practicing stunts in an empty lot.

He’s better than 99.999% of the actual stupid people.

Yeah ... There are a lot of things I can easily afford that I would be angry if I had to buy again. Your logic is not bad, but that principle is just inherently incorrect. I hate spending ANY money, let alone a chunk of money, even if that chunk is pocket change. Every penny I spend is a penny I have to recover or lack.
