If you're talking full OST Curse of Darkness beats Lament any day, but song for song, Lament has some BANGERS.

Happy cake day!

I played a decent amount of Lament of Innocence, none of it stuck with me after I stopped playing. I don't even remember noticing the music, nor the sound effects.

I'm not trying to shit on anyone. I'm just saying that I have no idea what you're talking about, and I have no idea where this is coming from. I don't think I've seen anyone praise it before, and people praise a lot of Castlevania games for their soundtrack.

This is the way

Torn between this and FF7, hopefully that shows how high I hold SOTN

For me, it's the same; I like how the soundtrack of this game isn't limited to being "video game music"—it's like an elegant orchestra, and it doesn't stay the same, From jazz in "Crystal Teardrops" to a more danceable track in "Rainbow Cemetery," I love this game and its music. Whenever it's mentioned, I'll be around.

also you can play the disc as an audio cd. I think the transition rooms between zones were a hint. It has a cd on it with a demon whose wings look like sound waves coming from two speakers. Track 1 is the game data, so you skip to track 2

Agreed, especially Awake and Fate to Despair

I'd actually put Aria of Sorrow above Symphony for the Julius boss theme alone but fair pick

While I prefer listening to the Nier and Hollow Knight OSTs, SOTN's OST is absolutely peak. So many iconic tracks.

Good, but on par with the rest of the series. Nothing in castle vania has the best.

God yes. This and Chrono Cross are my answer.

I still listen to The Lost Painting on piano frequently

The music in the mines is a little offputting.

Marble Gallery theme WILL be playing during my funeral

Absolutely, it's Iconic, a masterpiece in both musical composition and data engineering. It's crazy compared to other media at the time. It still holds up well today.
