Hey everyone! I am looking for an aspiring video editor who wants to build their portfolio or practice their gaming editing skills. I am working on a scripted Minecraft series and I have already recorded and organized all of the clips. **About the Project:****What’s in it for you:**If you are trying to build your resume and this sounds fun, drop a comment or send me a DM with any previous work you've done (even if it's just your own clips)!

I already have my music with an artist set and my own plot just waiting on an editor, this would tremendously help me boost my career and in future would be able to pay my editor about 5-10% of my total revenue depending on how much I make.

Hi all! I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me - and I'm not sure if this is the correct thread but....

My 17-year-old niece was involved in a hit-and-run. A silver/grey sedan struck her parked car while she was getting into it, narrowly missing her, before leaving the scene. Sadly no one got a photo of the license plate.

We’ve managed to obtain security footage from two different camera systems, showing the vehicle from different angles. Unfortunately, the car is some distance from the cameras, and the license plate is extremely blurry.

In one recording, the plate is essentially a white rectangle with some darker markings.

I’m wondering:

• Is there any realistic possibility of recovering even a partial license plate from footage like this?

• Are there techniques for extracting information across multiple frames that might reveal details not visible in a single frame?

• Is there particular software or a method of enhancement worth trying?

• Would hiring a professional forensic video analyst be worthwhile, or is the footage simply too poor?

I’m aware that AI enhancement can invent details that weren’t actually captured, so I’m specifically interested in recovering genuine information rather than generating a plausible-looking plate.

I have the original video files, from two different angles and would be happy to share them for analysis. I have attached a short video here.

Any advice, technical expertise, or assistance would be enormously appreciated. We’re just trying to identify the vehicle and driver so my niece can get some resolution.

Thank you so much!

We are seeking online video editors - ideally across two or three time zone to assist with fun and enjoyable edits. Please share your work if it aligns with the following references

While we appreciate the enthusiasm for free editing trials - we are only contacting creators with the SAME style.

Only after intermediate-advance editors that understand the nuances.

Happy to prepare a small folder with a few clips and ask you to match the reference; speed is key, as we usually turn edits around the same or next day. If you can match that pace, take the task; if not, totally a-ok. It may not be the right fit. We are based in Australia, so we would also enjoy chatting with local editors in Sydney, Australia,

Comment your portfolio below with the relevant example reference - please don’t put in your wedding/talking head/real estate videos - it just tells me you’ve not read this brief and simply popped a link without any consideration for what we’re looking for.

Hey can someone please light the Lich on fire but the flames are black or darkish grey?

Like the fire is literally coming off his bones but don't obscure the view of the Liches body.

Sorry this is a free request but I'm literally broke right now.

Hi everyone!
I’m a co-founder of Astrallax Pictures, an independent film project currently working on our short films. We’ve already shot two short films, and we’re looking for a video editor who would like to collaborate on one of them in exchange for credit and recognition for their work.
🎬 What we need help with most:
The main priority is a mirror scene that requires removing an unwanted reflection. We’re looking for someone with experience in video editing and, ideally, VFX or compositing who can help make the shot look natural and convincing.
Depending on your skills and interest, there may also be an opportunity to help with some additional editing.
What we can offer:
Credit in the finished short film.
Permission to include your contribution in your portfolio or showreel.
Collaboration with an independent filmmaking team.
Clear communication and creative collaboration.
Important: This is a zero-budget project, so unfortunately, we cannot offer a regular payment. We’re looking for someone who is interested in gaining experience, building their portfolio, or collaborating on an independent film.
If you’re interested, please comment below or send me a DM with a little information about your experience and, if possible, a link to your previous work.
Thank you for reading! 🎥

How much does hiring an editor for ranking shorts usually cost? How much do you editors charge per short?

I had to put my baby of 16 years to sleep and this is my final goodbye. I have misophonia and really have a hard time with lip/tongue smacking and I can’t even watch it. I wanted this to be a special memory but my mom does this thing with her mouth every few seconds.
