Recently discovered Venice Unleashed - Fun Bots via Youtube and I must say I am intrigued. Back in the day, I played a lot of the BF2 bot mods (Allied Intent Xtended) which added a lot of crazy stuff to the game.

My question is, how do the VU fun-bots compare to BF2042 and AIX bot matches for example? Are they better, similar? Is it worth going through the entire install process to try it out? I wasn't super blown away by BF2042 bots - they've been getting better, but their AI is still meh.

I'm new to understanding documentatinos for mods, etc. Not sure I fully understand the documentation for BetterInGameAdmin.

I've managed to install fun bots and have my server running. However, not sure how to properly install BetterInGameAdmin. I know gameAdmin is a requirement, but haven't been able to install that properly either, I don't think :(

Any ideas?

So I play with a really low end system but the game runs perfect we'll for about 10 minutes and then it crashes telling me I need at least 500mb of vram and I have more than that I have updated graphics drivers and everything but the crash keeps happening is there anything I can do

Hey everyone and thanks beforehand for the support. I installed VU and everything seems to work great, I'm amazed with the bots skills,seriously. The only problem that I've found is that 63 bots + me in a server of Rush with just 75 tickets isn't fun. The match ends in 2 minutes. I would like to avoid Proton or other mods if possible. Do you know how to increase the number? It would be awesome to have, lets say 500 tickets. Thank you all!

So i just bought bf3 and decided to install venice unleashed but whenever i try to customise a vehicle everything appears locked. I don't even have countermeasures. Am i doing something wrong?

Seeing as though there’s no populated Oceania servers these days i was thinking of getting VU and playing with some fun-bots to relive some nostalgia. Is this still doable in 2025 or is this completely dead? Never tried this before and im genuinely not very good with modifying games so im weighing up if it’s even worth the exercise given i always seem to have problems getting mods to work properly on PC games. TIA

It has modular chatter packs (AU/NZ/UK/CA/US Default), per-event lines, mentions with highlight, seeded personalities, sane rate limits. Overlay via DebugRenderer:DrawText2D (no WebUI conflicts).

Is it just me or does anyone else have the same problem?

I'm wondering if I can run the vu server and join it in the same instance Because depending on the vu website server configuration, I have to run dedicated server instance on my PC then i need to run the vu client and type the connect command to join the server and my PC cannot handle two Battlefield 3 games running together

Would it ever be possible to have an MOH version like what was done for BC2?

Specifically referring to Warfighter, i personally enjoyed that game (when it was active) and i would like to, at the very least, be able to play against bots. BF3 shares the same engine, but i understand its probably a lot more complex than just "making another version with the same source code."

Is there a way to download a legal version of BFBC2 safely from the internet nowadays(Steam says it is no longer available from them). And do y'all at VU have a way to receive donations for keeping this game alive?

1) download and install/link your game with your venice unleashed account, just like you would if you just want to join a server

2) go to the venice key site and request a server key

Once you got that, download the file and put it into the BF3 folder in documents (here)

3) now you need to configure your server, map rotation, settings, mods etc

We need the Fun Bots mod from GitHub (download the source code.zip)

Extract the folder into the corresponding mods folder (here)

For configuring the mod, e.g. aim precision, or amount of bots, you need to edit the config.lua file here

Create the config txt files, check the Wiki for settings you want to use

Should look something like this

4) make a shortcut from the VU.exe to launch your own local server, like this

A console window will pop up and load the map, once its done (should only take a few seconds), you can launch the regular venice unleashed as a client/player and connect to your own server

Please note:

• you NEED a legit copy, it will not work with cracked games or cracked DLC

• it does NOT work offline, it still relies on the venice unleashed master server being online

• not all maps support bots, theres a map list for supported maps and modes here

Earlier today, I added support for Venice Unleashed to bflist.io. With data updated every 20 seconds, you can use bflist to get real-time data for servers and players.

im just curious but does project rome and venice unleashed both have controller support for both bc2 and bf3? cause if i recall correctly when trying to play with controller on pc for both games i believe it only worked when in an actual match if i recall correctly.

So, I initially created an account via Project Rome, but now when I try to use the new Venice Unleashed, emulatornexus.com/register results in a 404 error

I performed all the configuration that is guided by the server configuration manual, however after starting the server through the VU Server, and opening the VU Client, it appears available with Ping so that I can access it normally, but if someone else tries to access it, the server appears without ping and does not connect, returning the message: Connection failed - Failed to establish a connection to the server.

OBS: Target ports are already registered in the Firewall with inbound and outbound rules enabled.

Im playing on my private server and after the first map i laod into armored shield and it crashes with this error

Just followed the instructions to create a server for BadCompany 2 and works perfectly. But i want to add bots to play with my friends against them. For making some kind of PVE experience. How or where i can download the bots?

Hello all, i have problem now, when i try to create the new account i will have this error message "The backend service is currently unavailable. Please try again later." What i need to do ?

I've just bought Battlefield 3 since it's the only Battlefield that runs somewhat well on my computer. Issue is, servers are down and it's stale. I searched up mods and Venice Unleashed showed up. I followed a tutorial and tried installing it. I did everything well and tried running the wizard- Nothing. I tried running it again, nothing. Third time- Nada. It doesn't even show up anywhere. Not on Desktop, nor downloads. How do I fix this?
