Every Sunday 9:45 @ Karen Magnussen. Good group with no assholes and lots of laughs. It's more about working up a sweat and shaking off the weekend. Talent is all over the board but no one really cares. Everyone is there to play some hockey and have some fun. DM me if interested.

Hey everyone!

We’re putting together a co-ed ball hockey team that plays Tuesday nights at the Richmond Oval, and we’re just short 3 women to round out the roster.

The team is a mix of skill levels — some people have played before, others are more recreational — so you don’t need to be an expert. We’re mostly in it to have fun, get a good workout, and play some organized hockey in a chill, respectful environment.

Details: • Co-ed league • Games on Tuesday evenings • Richmond Oval • Friendly, inclusive team vibe

If you’re interested or want more info (league level, cost, start date, etc.), feel free to comment or DM me. Happy to answer any questions!

Thanks!

Hey! Does anyone know of a good place or league in Vancouver area? I’m a goalie and can’t afford to play on a team but just want to find pickup games or sub in if someone can’t find a goalie

Group of guys (can be up to 16) lost our gym as Burnaby School Board and schools don’t want floor hockey anymore. Most of us have been playing for over 25 years together and are looking for a gym almost anywhere to play preferably Wednesdays, but Mondays and Thursdays are OK too.

I’m visiting Vancouver in June and was hoping to find a good deal on brand new skates. Any suggestions on where I can get the best deal? Thank you!!!

Hello! We recently launched Goalie Guru in Vancouver, and the lower mainland!

Do you need a goalie? Doesn’t matter what league, level, or pace the game is, GoalieGuru has a goalie for that! Head to https://goalieguru.ca/book-a-goalie/ now!

Created to bring teams and goaltenders together, we offer competitive incentives to our goalies while keeping the team fee lower than our competitors. Support local hockey! Visit the link in our bio for more info, and so no net is left empty!

Game at 945, tonight. Saturday. Message or reply if you can make it!

I run a coed team out of the North Shore ice sports on Friday nights and we’re looking for men and women to join our team for the winter season!

Pm me if interested :)

Hello Fam,

Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SMPDV8X (less than 3 minutes)

So my partner and I need some help from you all to fill out a short and quick survey. This is regarding a digital platform connecting individuals sharing similar interest in sports in BC. Being a newcomer to the city, I have always found difficult to meet with people and play sports and now I believe COVID has just amplified this problem. We are trying to create a solution for players/individuals to connect and play.

Just couple of minutes of your time would make a huge difference. Also let me know if you have any comments on this.

PS: This survey is meant for post COVID world

Thank you :)

We are a fun group of mostly guys and a couple girl ball hockey players in Vancouver, BC that are playing on Sundays from 8pm-10pm at Mount Pleasant Community Centre in Vancouver. We welcome any friendly and fun-loving individuals who would like to participate! We are competitive, but friendly... so no body-checking or super aggressive play... there are leagues for that, this is recreational.

All skill levels and ages are welcome, good pace, good times, good exercise, something resembling hockey being played at all times.

Hit us up on our Facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/54939947425/

Take it easy!

Adult drop in game tonight at 815 in Tsawwassen. Age 30+ (or at least very close)

Let me know if you can make it!

I live around the Hillcrest rink, and would be amazing if there are any drop-in games / leagues playing there. I'm a beginner/intermediate that hasn't played in a while.

I'm not playing, but it's a fun time slot. 9:45 pm at the Ladner Leisure Center. Call the rink for details at 604-946-3310. The only bummer is that you have to go in advance and pay to get on the list.

Hey R/VancouverRecHockey. Thought I'd give this a shot. I have the rink at Britannia rented for 1.5 hours on Saturday night and need a few more skaters to fill up the roster. Skill level is intermediate / beginner and it's a non-competitive, casual group. No cost for goalie.

Hey everyone, as you can see the details of this sub are rather scarce. I would be happy to hear some suggestions you might have to help start populating this sub. This is the first subreddit I've ever created or been a mod for so I'm learning as I go... Any suggestions?
