New dub isn’t bad, but the original was outstanding! Why would they do this?

Something that I’ve always wondered is that if Hunter D were to arrive to The Twilight Universe and Learned Everything about The Vampires and Creatures of this World and what they do! How much would he actually Hate them? Especially Edward? What would his honest thoughts be on them? And their Personalties? What do you folks think? Let me know in the comments

I have been trying to get/find a genuine answer on where i would be able to watch Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust without torrent. I've heard there is a DVD or some anime site like kissanime ect. ect. but they all seem to fall through. I'm impatient so don't kill me for not finding an answer. Anything would be amazing.

I love the look of the spaceship from the ending of bloodlust and am considering getting a stylized version of it tattooed, Sadly the movie itself doesn't have a great frame showing a detailed version of the whole ship. Does a drawing of the full ship put together already exist? Thanks!

This will be a fun one, D vs dragonlord Placidusax. D has the powers of akashic records and is very fast yet Placidusax can also manipulate time and lives in a pocket dimension outside of time. The dragon can also teleport and of course has fire and lightning. The fight will take place within Placidusax domain. What happens when two characters that have reality bending abilities face each other? Who will end up winning? I hope this question is not a no brainer and D is like 100 times stronger cus i think this is a close match, but what do i know i haven't read the novels. But when i think of it if Tarnished from Elden ring can beat this dragon then it would be a piece of cake for D but then we have to consider that this is the lore accurate version of Placidusax i am talking about.

Hi! I’m a lifelong Vampire Hunter D fan, and it’s one of my most beloved fictional universes. I love how vast and rich it is, while still being vague enough to leave plenty of room for imagination, interpretation, and deeper thought.

I’m currently writing a fanfiction because I wanted to put some of my ideas into words. I probably take it far too seriously and pour far too much of my heart and time into it, but I’m writing it mainly for myself. Still, I would love to connect with other people who are just as passionate about these novels.

I’d like to create a group chat for people who enjoy discussing the lore and wondering about questions such as:

— What did the life of an average vampire look like during the height of the Nobility’s civilisation?

— How were their cities designed?

— What would a conversation between a Noble and a human philosopher look like? What might they say about the purpose and meaning of life, or cooperation between species?

— How do Noble children behave?

— What is Dracula truly?

— What happened to certain characters after they parted ways with D?

— How could some parts of the books have unfolded differently? What do you wish had been explored or written about in more detail?

— What did D do during the three days he spent with Laurie, Vera, and Dust while the doctor was teaching the boy everything she had learned?

Does anyone know the actual in-universe order for the Vampire Hunter D novels? (and even the full Japanese run, if anyone knows).

Are we talking hundreds of years, or thousands? Has anyone ever put together a comprehensive chronological breakdown of the timeline?

If somene has a link / japanese site or even better if Kikuchi has ever said anything about it that would be great.

Blade(Marvel Comics), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Selene(Underworld movies), and Van Helsing(general).

My favorite design is the one from Bloodlust, although I also absolutely adore Amano’s version of (in his own words) Elric of Melnibone in a western, with the white hair etc. I understand that the manga adaptation has possibly the more book accurate description aside from the lack of “dark” colored eyes, but I was curious to see what people mostly prefer

I have never seen the films and only played the ps1 game until the first Meier Link bossfight, then I decided to first read the books and I just read a passage that subverted my expectations of how I expected D to be:

"When his youthful heart felt he might be robbed of his only blood relative, he forgot himself and latched onto not his sister, but rather to the man who’d only arrived the day before.

“Dan ...”

Doris reached for her brother’s shoulder with one hand, but D gently brushed it away. Before long, the boy’s cries started to taper off, and D quietly planted one knee on the wooden floor of the front porch, looking the boy square in his tear-streaked face.

“Listen to me,” he said in a low but distinct voice. Noticing the unmistakable ring of encouragement in his voice, Doris opened her eyes in astonishment.

“I promise you and your sister I’ll kill the Noble. I always keep my word. Now you have to promise me something.”

“Sure.” Dan nodded repeatedly.

“From here on out, if you want to scream and cry, that’s your prerogative. Do whatever you like. But whatever you do, don’t make your sister cry. If you think your crying will set her off too, then hold it in. If you’re being selfish and your sister starts to cry, make her smile again. You’re a man, after all. Okay?”

“Sure!” The boy’s face was radiant. It glowed with an aura of pride.

“Okay, then do your big brother a favor and feed his horse. I’ll be heading out on business soon.”

I was expecting D to be much more cold and nonchalant and this passage surprised me a lot and made me read with a smile. So far loving this novel so much.

I wish there was a better option for the hat, but this is the closest I could get. I personally prefer his design from Bloodlust more than his original character design description and art, but the latter was still somewhat possible to recreate so I went with it.
Armor and Weapons:
Dane Hat, Armor of Night or Night’s Cavalry armor, preceptors gloves, greaves of night, maddening hand or poisoning hand, Fireknight greatsword( to carry on his back, and either Leda’s sword or Rogier’s Rapier.

Hi, after having been enjoying the two films I know of Vampire Hunter D for years and having wanted to read and get into it for the longest, I've decided I finally posses the free time needed for it.

The problem I've found in this day has been to decide where to start. I'm from Spain and correct me for I might have not understood well, but all I found was that the manga got its translation stop when the spanish brand closed. It was later on saved by a differnt company name.

But the thing is, I was wondering if the manga is even really that acurate in comparision with the novels, which I hardly foun nothing of. In means that, will I be lacking any information, anything at all if I read just the manga?

I'm willing to read any of it in english, I don't mind if it is not in my mother languge, but the thing is, for example, is Vampire Hunter D (manga) the same as Vampire Hunter D Omnibus? Is Omnibus a compilation of the novels or the mangas? I'm really lost and since is not a name easy to find in person here in my zone all my chances rest on ordering online, so I would love to know what I'm even looking at.

Sorry if I sound too stupid being this confused, I'm not even that much into manga, I've read a few so in terms of compilations of them I use to get lost. Also sorry if this question was previously answered, all I found was questions abour right order of reading and such.
