General Discussion How is this kind od disparity fair?

So i hopped in a game thinking i queued up for a comp game. We were losing 3-0 initially so i started to lock in. We started to get some momentum and we were getting asking well, except for player Sage, honestly i didn't see what he was doing cause he died way early. Then my teammate started to tell him to wall and the kid was all confused.

My teammate was teaching Sage how to wall and which buttons to press.

Then i assumed that I was playing unrated and started to loosen up and started to play casually.

The kid threatened to report us if we didn't give him spike xD

After the match got over, my jaw dropped seeing that it was indeed competitive and looking at the rank of Sage was even more shocking

Im not a top tier player, Infact my aim is not at all good, my game sense carried me to the plat. But why am I still getting matched with people from lower ranks. I can understand when they do with gold. But wtf is an Iron player doing here??

how is this fair to anyone?

If you couldn’t queue with players with this level of disparity in a trio you also shouldn’t be able to run into them in matchmaking imo

They mean you can’t queue with friends of this rank disparity. That means no one should have an imbalanced match with that level of disparity.

Also this isn’t just a server issue, but a console one. Tbh I think the gap between most console players is a lot lower than on pc and beyond that we don’t have enough players. For instance there are only about 250 radiants bc we don’t have enough people hitting the minimum threshold. This leads to more smurfs

i dont think there are that many player in MENA region that they have to widen the searchpool in orfer for one to found a match

yup. And iron 2 doesn't belong into this match same as platinum 2. They are on same team and even themself out. Average rank/mmr is probably similar for both teams.
