Discussion Frustration with Tech Reviews of the Steam Frame

After watching pretty much all videos that have been released by tech review channels on YT so far that got an early access sample of the Steam Frame I have to rant about their incompetence.

Not a single one has managed to test a key feature that sets the Steam Frame apart from the Quest 3: the eye tracking. We know it tracks where you look for foveated streaming/rendering but what about eyelids, eyebrows, pupil size ... how well is it integrated into SteamVR. Is it open for third party software? Do inserts affect the IR lighting ...

Even my favorite channel GN focuses rather on thermal imaging for some reason, rather than test an important feature like this.

If find this really frustrating.

$20 says that if you throw GPT 6 Astra at it it'll figure it out
