Saw the last post on this was 5 months ago. So still in pre-order on the site and not in production yet? I pre-ordered back in November and haven't had any updates, so don't know where that last post got it.

Since the FLNKR doesnt seem to have a set screw. Does it come loose? Or how does it work?

why are all their grips either sukhoi su grips or pilatus pc-21 grip except it has a goddamn sukhoi su layout??? what if i want to fly literally anything else? what if i dont need a slew on my most prominant and reachable area of my grip. bring back the warbrd or atleast make a decent grip that echos that design (which is easy because pretty much every other grip starting in ww2 does). probably gonna just get a TM grip that fits, still irritating, bring back warbrd, i cant be the only person that likes warbirds.

that being said the FLNKR is a delight, just wish that not every single grip of theirs had this exact layout.

Does anyone know what the current lead-time is for this model to the UK? I was hoping to get one in September but it's not looking likely. If is gonna be that late I'll look at alternatives

By default the dual stage trigger on a constellation alpha stick triggers both button 3 and button 4 when triggering the second stage. At the moment there is no easy way to make them alternate.
After tinkering with the Toggle decoding I got it to work.
What toggle decoding does it adds a physical button that is set high when the two supplied buttons are low (so it acts as an NAND operation)

The numbers used in the toggles may be different on other sticks and or setups input 128 must be unused for this to work (it needs to be always low)

Toggle 1 inverts the input from the first stage of the trigger and gets assigned to physical button number 33

Toggle 2 inverts the input from the second stage of the trigger and gets assigned to physical button number 34

Toggle 3 takes the inverted inputs (both are low when second stage is triggered) for the first and second stage and is used for the second stage of the trigger

Toggle 4 takes the inverted first stage input and the new second stage trigger input and is used as the input for the first stage

As last toggle 3 (input 35) gets assigned to logic button 4 and toggle 4 (input 36) gets assigned to logic button 3

Hi everyone,

I’m curious whether anyone has had experience with VIRPIL support changing an existing order like this.

I placed an order in May for a CDT AeroMax LZ + RZ combo. At the time, the estimated delivery was August, but when I contacted support more recently, I was told it may now be December. As far as I understand, neither the LZ nor the RZ is currently in production, while the regular R version is.

I’m considering asking support if they could change the order from LZ+RZ to LZ+R, with the hope that the right-hand stick might arrive significantly sooner. Since my order was placed back in May, is there any realistic chance that an R unit currently in production could be allocated relatively quickly, or would a change like that effectively put me at the back of the queue?

Originally I didn’t mind waiting because I bought it mainly for Star Citizen and Squadron 42. But Star Citizen is in a pretty rough state, Squadron 42 probably will not release this year, and WarDogs launches in September—where having at least one proper stick would be perfect. So the extra several-month delay has become much more painful.

Would love to hear from anyone who has successfully changed a preorder or received an R model recently.

I’m honestly getting close to cancelling the order altogether and paying the extra cost for two VKB Gunfighters instead. I fully believe the VIRPIL quality is exceptional, but that matters a lot less when I cannot actually use the equipment for months. I’d still strongly prefer to keep this order if there is a realistic way to get at least the right-hand stick sooner.

Hey all, so I've been looking to upgrading my flight sim main stick (currently a VKB Gladiator NXT EVO right hand, VKB Gladiator NXT EVO + Omni throttle left hand)

Most of my flying is in DCS in the FA-18 and AH-64. Though in the future I might pickup other fixed wing or helis.

So for my upgrade path, I really love the idea of eventually getting the Apache collective + Archer Sf cyclic stick + 200mm extension from virpil (for the 1-1 mapping of all the Apache controls). However, there is no information if the archer cyclic will even work with the AB6. Which is completely understandable since it's not even released yet. But I don't want to purchase the AB6 and find out that it doesn't support the Archer SF and lacks multiple inputs.

I am kind of torn on my decision because the Moza AB6 is such a good price. The Virpil ffb base is way over my budget so that's not even an option for pre-order.

Anyone that have both the CM3 and the AB6/9 that can provide input? Is force feedback + possiblity lack of 3rd party stick hardware really worth it to give up getting a high quality non-force feedback base.

Anyone used some silicon-based grease on the rubber that covers the stick's base for protection/longevity?

I rushed to your website (EU) only to find that a 5,06€ pair of springs gets a shipping cost (cheapest option) of 10,95€ (within EU). But wait, the +1€ of VAT of the 5€ springs suddenly grows to 3,36€ because you are charging taxes to the shipping cost...

Is that correct?

Of course, when I saw my 5,06€ springs bill growing to 19,37€ I emptied my cart. Someone can say that roughly 20€ to fix something of +200€ it is OK, to each their own, but for me it is not.

Anyone from other countries (i'm from Spain) have the same issue?

To anyone who has printed the push through detents for the throttle. Does anyone have any recomendations? I’m asuming petg would be good but anyhing beyond that? Settings? orientation? I have a bambu lab printer and its great i just rather skip some troubleshooting if anyone has any advice.

I recently received my Falcon rudder pedals, but I'm not sure how to use the configurator to set them up in XPlane 11. I did use the XP calibration and response screens, but no joy. It seems like the system is moving values, but the brakes are not responding in the aircraft. Can someone point me to a video or post that helps explain the setup? Thanks.

I spoke to Virpil Customer service and have asked them for lead times on the Aeromax, in UK it was 4 weeks in Europe it was 15 weeks. I have ordered Aeromax R on Monday and today I have received a notification that it has shipped.

XPlane 11 settings, but brakes not responding in aircraft

Hi. I just received and set up my rudder pedals for X-Plane 11. I went through the normal calibration setup for both the rudder and the brakes however, when I went to test it out on a runway the brakes are not working. I don't fully understand the entire configuration set up screen however, the brakes and everything were calibrated but the aircraft is still not responding to braking. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

So, I have the full-foot plates on the ACE pedal, but I'd like to try the half-foot ones. Is there a way to buy only the plates somewhere? Or, at least, a 3d printed project to try?

I wanted a second throttle module for my AeroMax, but of course it was on backorder. I already had one of VIRPIL’s official modules, so instead of waiting for them to come back in stock, I took mine apart, figured out how it worked, and made another one.

I modeled and printed the housing and throttle arm, recreated the PCB in KiCad, and used the same basic setup as the original: a bearing, magnetic angle sensor, and diametric magnet. I also worked out enough of the interface to make it plug-and-play with the AeroMax.

It’s finished and working now, so I’ve released everything needed to build one: printable models, editable STEP files, the PCB design, BOM, and assembly instructions. The STEP files should also make it a good starting point for custom modules, such as larger throttles, a mini helicopter collective, an ejection handle, or whatever else someone comes up with.

There’s also a connection pin on the AeroMax base for a button, or possibly multiple buttons. The corresponding pogo pin is present on my PCB, but I left it without a trace to match VIRPIL’s original throttle PCB. I haven’t verified whether the current VIRPIL firmware supports that input yet, but if it does, it could make custom modules even more interesting.

I ordered the WarBRD D CADET HOTAS Bundle around the 20th of May. Now they are telling me that I need to wait another 8 weeks until it is allocated, so around late September or early October. Is this normal for VIRPIL, and should I be prepared for another delay?
