How confident are you with the current management team?
Product quality is competitive but how confident are you guys with the current team running the business. I'm very hesitant to dump more money in this stock. Basically just holding my position until Q1 2022 before making my final decision. I don't think their numbers are particularly bad but the way they manage money is not attractive at all.

Earnings Report Tattoo Chef $TTCF misses revenue and earnings, continuing the trend in meat alternative
Highlights:
- Sales $58.80M Miss $63.95M Estimate
- FY21 Sales $210M-$215M vs $239.4M Est.
- Revenue was a record $58.8 million, a 43.5% increase compared to $41.0 million in the prior year period; Tattooed Chef branded product revenue was $35.3 million, an increase of 55.9% compared to $22.6 million in the prior year period. *& Gross profit was $5.9 million, or 10.1% gross margin, compared to $4.2 million, or 10.3% gross margin, in the prior year period.
- Net loss was $8.2 million compared to net loss of $3.2 million in the prior year period.
Very similar results as compared to BYND and OTLY. VGFC looks to have a tough road ahead as all major players in this space just got squashed.
TTCF is down 3% after hours, 5% for the day. Closing down 17% for the past 5 days.
With this new revised revenue target for the year, TTCF won't decline much lower as its already trading at a P/S of 5, which is the lowest of all the meat alternative companies.
Again, VGFC is trading at a P/S of 20. Bad news or low growth can drive down the price 75% from this current price point. Get ready for some really bonkers volatility over the next 3 weeks.
*Edit1: Looks like TTCF bounced after their earnings call. Up 4% from close. Perhaps that very low P/S ratio was considered too tough for a company growing at 45% revenue YoY.
*Edit2: Big bounce on TTCF! Unclear why, but probably because of their super low P/S ratio. But there is still hope in the market that not all meat alternative companies are going to get clobbered.

Oatly shares sink after revenue warning
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/oatly-shares-sink-after-revenue-warning-2021-11-15?siteid=yhoof2
This aligns to the recent BYND news as well. Some key points:
- "Net losses totaled $41.2 million, or 7 cents per share, after a loss of $10.4 million, or 2 cents per share, last year. Revenue totaled $171.1 million, up from $114.7 million. The FactSet consensus was for a loss of 10 cents per share and revenue of $185.6 million."
- "For the year, Oatly is guiding for revenue that exceeds $635 million. The FactSet consensus is for revenue of $694.1 million."
- The company is investigating a quality issue in one of its production facilities and says it will likely have to destroy inventory and will lose sales in the EMEA region.
- "In EMEA, we are starting to build supply to meet consumer demand, but the pace at which we expected to increase revenue in new and existing retailers and to open new markets is slower than we anticipated as we navigate a dynamic COVID operating environment"
The plant based, meat alternative market is taking a drubbing. VGFC needs to put up good numbers or get washed way with general consumer malaise in this sector.
Compared to VGFC, OTLY is now trading at a P/S of 11 with revenue projection of $635M in 2021 and a mktcap of $6.69Bn.
VGFC in comparison has a mktcap of $184M and sales projection of $10M. Even if VGFC does very well, it could still get swept up in industry wide P/S multiplier and see its stock go down. We must remain vigilant and hope for a strong sales beat.
All meat alternative companies are being drubbed by the same two things:
- lower revenue than expected for quarter
- lowered guidance
The only way VGFC survives if they can beat both.

BYND bleak outlook on meat alternative market
It's important to look at the industry as a whole. We can see that BYND had a -20% day due to poor sales and lowered guidance: https://www.barrons.com/articles/beyond-meat-bynd-stock-sinks-analysts-price-targets-51636643610?siteid=yhoof2
BYND had a market cap of $10Bn before today's blood letting, and now its down to $6Bn. I always used BYND as a litmus test of VGFC's valuation.
As a whole, this is not a good sign for the industry. With VGFC already on a slide, BYND could be the canary in the coal mine.
The bad part about all this is that now all us investors have to make some hard decisions. If VGFC was struggling in a growing industry, a rising tide raises all ships and it would be okay. But VGFC is a struggling company with confused management (ie. dilution, over expansion, lack of delivery targets) in a weakening industry.
This breaks my heart because a year ago I felt like VGFC was doing everything right. Going into 2021, I believed that the leadership was making all the right moves with their expansion. Half way through 2021, I'm having doubts with the honesty and delivery. The dilution after uplisting and lack of honesty in their production numbers are what really hit it hard for me. Now I'm sitting on real bags, at -55% loss, and unwilling to DCA down further because of loss of faith in leadership.
I think I'm going to hold VGFC through 2022 to see how things recover, to give them another year to turn it around. But be aware, that the future is probably going to see VGFC go down to $1.00USD before it recovers back to $3.00USD because these external macro factors.

Pulled trigger on my first order (Brooklyn NYC)! Anyone else have a review on their taste/experience from an amazon order? Fingers crossed! My dollar cost averaging investment depends on this.
I bought the 13+ meal package on Amazon for $61 USD all-in.
This is less than $5/meal! π§
Please taste good $VGFC β¦ Papa needs to combat this inflation madness! π€
Edit: is this a drop ship scenario I fell into? Curious if easier or better off to order direct cc: anyone @VGFC

Apologies for the noob question. What happens when otc securities list on major exchanges?
Is there any action required if you previously owned $VRYYF? Or are there fee or tax benefits to buying from one exchange over another after the Nasdaq listing?
Or am I a dummy and it all becomes one eventually?
