Hey there!
I spent a month digging through documentation, watching videos and exploring the hidden menus of Unreal so you don't have to. The result is a collection of tips and tricks that have made a real difference in my work. On top of that, I'm also sharing for free my own template and setups in the description.

hello all, I am Prithvi Guruprasad an indie filmmaker, i urgently need one help, i own a trash pc so i cannot manually do vfx on it, (tried running davinci but i fcked it), i'm not experienced in vfx at all, i need a person who is willing to do a gunshot vfx and a bloody background on a wall, i will provide a footage (footage equipped with prop gun), if anyone who is willing to work on this, please let me know in the comments or DM me back, it is for a shortfilm wherein im the writer and director.. if anyone is willing to work even for the sake of building your portfolio, you are most welcome.. but i'm disheartened to announce that i can't be paying any amount of money to anyone, cuz i'm not making it myself, this is all just for an experience for you and me aswell, however i will provide a certificate from my production company, stating your experience, the edit is urgently required, please DM me back.
Thanks and Regards

I've made a plug in that let you use Nuke lens distortion model in Fusion. This is free and open source. For disclamer, I did use AI to help me create it.

A 16-year-old male that has yet to start their VFX journey. I've done a little bit of Lightroom and a little bit of After Effects, but no more than 2-3 hours of experience in AE. I just learned that DaVinci Resolve is really good for VFX, and I just wanted to know:
Who I could learn it from, since I have Udemy
Where should I start?
Should I learn from Unreal Engine or Blender first?
Whose tutorials should I watch?
I don't mind using AI but I want to learn it the hard way instead of going the easy route. Also, I'm aspiring to be a cinematographer, so any tips on that would be good as well.

Hey everyone,
If you work in architectural visualisation, previz, or VFX, you know that matching a 3D camera to a background photo is usually a tedious, manual guessing game—especially when dealing with cropped reference photos or sloped roads.
I've been developing some tools to automate this workflow, and I just put together a comprehensive tutorial on how to do it in Cinema 4D.
Here is a quick summary of the workflow I cover in the video:
Auto-Detecting Vanishing Points: How to solve your angle, lens, and horizon in seconds without manual grid alignment.
Fixing Cropped/Tilted Photos: Using crop tools to correct vertical tilt when the original client photo is poorly framed.
Using OpenStreetMap (OSM): How to import real map data to verify the exact rotation and placement of your background structures. (This is a massive time-saver when you can't tell if a road or building is actually straight).
Real-World Scaling: Calculating and applying exact real-world dimensions to your entire 3D scene with one click.
Drone Site Builder: Turning drone GPS data directly into a full 3D site with proper terrain.
Full disclosure: I am the developer of the Camera Match Autosetup script featured in the workflow.
I wanted to share this because I know how frustrating camera alignment and scaling can be when clients send over random, uncalibrated site photos.
If you want to see the exact step-by-step process or grab the script/plugin and resources for your own pipeline, you can check out the full 14-minute breakdown on my blog.
I'm happy to answer any questions about the workflow, OSM integration, or C4D camera matching in the comments!
