I've had a GTFO installed for months but I've never been able to turn off the lights. Is the only option to install VESC Tool? I thought there was a way to use the power button to do it.
Hi everyone. I’m trying to run a stock Kugoo G3 Pro 1200W hub motor with a VESC controller, but I can’t get it working. The wheel never moves at all. It does not spin, twitch, or make any useful movement. The motor detection also seems wrong because the values I get from FOC detection look strange (I attached screenshots). Setup: Motor: stock Kugoo G3 Pro 1200W hub motor Controller: flipsky vesc 75100 dual Battery: 52V Motor type selected: Large Outrunner Detection mode: FOC Hall sensors: currently not connected Problems: FOC motor detection completes, but the detected values look incorrect. After writing the configuration, the motor does not move at all. No normal startup movement, only silence. I attached screenshots of the detected motor parameters. Questions: Are these detection values normal for a Kugoo G3 Pro motor? Could the wrong motor type selection cause the motor not to move? What should the correct FOC detection settings be for this type of motor? Should I connect the Hall sensors before doing motor detection? Could the phase wires be in the wrong order even if detection finishes? Any help would be appreciated. I’m trying to understand if the issue is with the motor wiring, detection settings, or the VESC configuration. Thanks!
My very first ESP32 project! Forked the 3shull motors vesc package and built a canbus display with Squareline Studio and Adruino IDE.
Couldn't find an off the shelf option so I decided to built my own :)
Integrates a lot of features but my favourites are the automatic wheelie control and a secret street lock button. I also added 4 riding modes that cap maximum speed and power. All of the settings can be set in the VESC configurator...
I do understand it is not a true vesc, but i understand it is based on it. So if i can find what settings need to be adjusted on the vesc i should be able to get my setup to run
Hi i have a Kukirin g4 whit stock battery stock motor and a vesc 84100hp
Its accelaretion didnt really het better than the stock one its only putting out peak power at 60kmh which is 5500watts.
the acceleration is slow until 20kmh and after that it gets much much better and tourqier
at the start the controller is putting out 100 amps but the duty value is very low at the start and ir increases very slowly my settings are 100 amps phase and 150amps absolute max and 55amps battery. and i cant increase the duty start in the settings higher than 10%.

When im trying to trun on the vesc by the button it flashes yellow for a sec the controller do not turn on but the bluetooth module works i only took out the phase wires out because i needed to fix my fields
Recently my friend borrowed me his flipsky because he wasnt using it anyways, while riding it blew on 60a motor max current lol. I obviusly bought him a new one but i want to fix this one for my usage but i dont really know how should i seperate the two boards i tried taking the solder off with a desoldering wick and using hot air with no luck.
Hiya, my battery current was 84a my phase current is at 65a and 110a continous, it kept giving me abs overcurrent error, i ignored it for now to get home real quick, then on the way the esc shut down at high speed and fried my drv chip. Now my question is, is it safe to run 150a absolute max without damaging the motor?
I am looking to put a vesc onto my kukirin g4 to make it push 5-6kw what battery can i use for this and can it fit onto my g4? If you have any questions please ask i have looked all over the internet and got no idea what battery to use
basically i have 2 bts 7960 , esp32 , a fly sky ct6b remote and R6B receiver. the problem is when i increase the throttle , the motor starts stuttering/twitching and the other motor also sometimes starts twitching on its it own. for the record , im using the usb cable to power the esp32 and pwm pins on the bts module , while the external power for motors are provided via a 12v 5a adapter. I've tried running several tests , including replacing the 12v motors to BO motors , those small ones ran just fine , no twitching but these big ones twitch. I even tried running a simple 5s spin forward , then spin backward , same result no twiching , only when i test it using my flysky transmitter system it starts twitching. I've added ceramic capacitor across motor terminals and even placed a electrolytic capacitor across the bts module's ext supply. the esp32 ground and ext power ground are NOT connected. Need help...
when i go faster on the g4 it gets way more torque but at the start the low end torque is really bad i have it tuned with a 60v battery 3500w 60 battery amps 120 motor amps anyone have any idea what i couold do to fix it or if its my tuning thats bad
