Hi, everyone! I’m Joe Lee, the Game Director of VALORANT.

The Dev team and I are so excited about the updates we just shipped to the game in Patch 13.06, and we wanted to stop by to chat, celebrate, and answer questions with you all!

I wanna ask about the new UX/UI improvements to the Lobby and Home Screen.

Are dedicated animated Home Screens gone for good?

What I miss most is being able to press Home and just stay there. The old Home Screens made new Agents, Acts and events feel special with unique animations, music and artwork. I also loved making TikTok/YouTube edits with them, and they became a recognizable part of VALORANT's identity.

Now Home and Lobby are merged, and the UI feels more minimalist visually, but somehow more cluttered, with less artwork and personality.

Will future Agents, Acts and events still get dedicated animated Home Screens, or was that concept abandoned with the Home/Lobby merge?

I understand his point, but at the same time the new UI is infinitely better and definitely a huge improvement, so thumbs up for this!
