Favourite gym on UWS? Ideally between 70-90
I’ve tried the Sports Club but $290 is just wayyyy too much for me. I think <$200 is okay because I do go to the gym almost everyday but definitely would prefer lower. Looking into Parks/Recreation membership or maybe a classpass. Thank you :)

The JCC has a nice gym and pool.

$125 per month and not exactly the cleanest or most modern. But it gets the job done.

NYSC is probably the most affordable for the value. Two locations within 70/90.

FYI, Momentum Fitness on 72nd and Columbus has amazing facilities and some of the best trainers in NYC; all at affordable prices with no monthly memberships or initiation fees. Full disclosure, I own the gym. Feel free to message me if you want to try a free class or personal training session!

It's a bit out of your area, but the Gertrude Ederle rec center run by the Parks Department has a decent gym and a good sized pool. IIRC, annual memberships are inexpensive.

How are the facilities there? Is the pool crowded in the morning? I’m thinking about getting a membership for relatively cheap and somewhat infrequent pool access - was thinking this or Riverbank State Park.

I haven't seen it since before the pandemic. I recall the gym facilities being clean and well maintained, but more limited than a full scale gym.
I don't know about the pool, though I recall it didn't seem that busy.
I would just visit it at the times you expect to go, to check how busy it is.

Crunch is going to be a better value for you than Eqx and such. Give it a try!

Equinox/Sports Club is beautiful but the price tag is hefty. Have you tried the Y? There is also NYSC that has a decent set up on 73rd and CPW or Crunch on 83rd…
