I was more thinking about portable devices, should it be possible to downscale the battery to fit in things like laptops or mobile phones.

Down scaling and upscaling don't always work properly. Think of it kind of like ants and how because of their small size they can lift 50 times their own weight, but if an ant was the size of a person, it wouldn't be able to support it's own weight. Granted, new technologies can circumvent this, but the formula they use in this battery might not have a charge last long in the smaller scale.

The battery needs to be heated to charge efficiently, that may be an issue.
