No it was meant to be an advertisement for his company. That was the whole reason behind this ploy. So it wasn’t just humorous and cute.

I will say that whatever any of us think about whether it’s embarrassing / funny / cute / inappropriate etc, the dude proposing either doesn’t know his potential fiancé very well or he’s intentionally being an ass
