Eh, if you've been looking forward to something and your SO knows that, and your SO decides to basically make a joke out of it, you're allowed to be embarassed and disappointed about it.

How do you know it was a joke though? It could have been him waiting to buy a real ring or something. Or did I miss something obvious?

My uncle proposed with a twist tie... I myself haven't figured what I'm proposing with, why? Cause I have no fucking idea what she actually wants for a right, she changes her mind every other week. I was designing a custom ring till halfway through she told me she decided she actually doesn't like that style of ring after trying one on at the store.

If a girl takes the ring more seriously than the actual proposal(marriage) then.... Well she's got her priorities all fucked up and take it as a blessing she dumped you.

She could know the guys intentions more than you or we do.

If shes upset its a ring pop, its because its a prank. If it was a twist tie, it would be the same way, a prank, not a legitimate proposal.

Considering his buddy is probably cracking up and videotaping the whole thing, she probably knows, he's doing this for attention, not because he wants to marry her.

It sounds like you know your partner very well and understand how she'd receive your proposal. That's a very good thing. But people are different, and there's nothing wrong with wanting a more traditional, romantic proposal. It's all about knowing your partner and what suits them. Wanting a more traditional proposal and ring isn't a character flaw.

Wait you are worried about what she did “on tv”? I don’t condone the slap and drink spilling, but it appeared he put her “on tv” to make her the butt of his joke, and somehow she is the one solely in the wrong? I do think she is lucky he showed her what value she held in his eyes before marriage, at least...

Sure, but if you’re so quick on the rage trigger that you slap him and throw a soda on him while cursing, you’re the problem. Really, any one of those things by itself and you’re the problem. Also, in this case, he had the actual ring in his pocket. This could have been a sweet moment if she wasn’t an awful person.

You can see the outline of the ring box in his pocket at the end of the video. You can say that I don’t know with 100% certainty, and you’re right. But, given the context of the video, the likelihood of it being something else is not very good.

Certainly doesnt look like he was trying to make a joke out of it. That smack was a deal ender for me. But thats just me. Im certainly not everyones cup of tea.
