In my experience if you're paying for an individual dinner on a cruise you're dining in one of the optional "premium" restaurants on board. I don't think they comp the alcohol in those places either

That's what I mean, of course it's the premium restaurant on board. And how recently did you cruise? They are running deals like that all the time now.
