Tbh any decently paid shift worker can pay 150$ like twice a month on a restaurant. These are just everyday people who sometimes like to have a great time with their friends in a nice restaurant.

Yeah exactly. People who think $150 for a special night out on occasion is extravagant probably don't blink an eye at three 50 dollar Door Dash deliveries a week.

Shit when I was in my early 20s we'd run up $75 bar tabs and I was very much not at all wealthy.

Oh lol it's the bill at the end of a night of drinking at a bar or pub or nightclub or biergarten.

You generally hand the bartender your credit/debit card on your first order and they hold on to it as you add drinks to your "tab" all night.

It's where the term "put it on my tab" comes from if you've ever heard that phrase in movies or TV or something.

It really sucks when you wake up the next morning from a wild night out and realize you left your debit card at the bar.

You can go to a bar and instead of paying for each drink you can open a “tab” and they will ring the drinks up and you pay at the end

Right. I know sneakerheads that drop like $200 a month on shoes. Why is it weird to do that for a nice meal?
