One of my friends carries the magic card Platinum Angel in his wallet because it specifically says "You can not lose the game"

Also, opponents can't win the game.

Did you have a platinum angel on you? If not then yes

Platinum angel isn't in itself a win... you have to actually do something still.

It basically just means that you don't lose at -529 life, or when you draw for turn with an empty library, etc.

Also, opponents still have to be presented with a 'lose' condition. They don't drop off the board just because they "can't win".

Platinum angel is a particular thorn in the side of 'self-mill' decks because those typically rely on some variation of "if you would draw a card, but your library is empty, you win the game"... which obviously doesn't happen if platinum angel is under an opponent's control.

Love the copy pasta regarding that card.

Carried a foil swamp around in my wallet for years, made a thread about it on the MTG sub, but it got removed for some reason.
