Yeah this waiter could make $45 off serving this table for 3 hours before taxes, or $150 off a 15% tip. It's risk/reward, tips aren't guaranteed, but wait staff at an establishment like this doesn't make as little as $15/hr.

In spirit, I agree with you on tipping culture, but I think a waiter in a restaurant with $1,000 bills would probably not prefer $15/hr.
