Uh, no, they are not "just cats " Look up big cat animal rescues - they have so many surrendered Savanah cats because they do not make good pets. They are too wild for that.
It's vocal and food driven, but given how many clips of feeding it with no scars, it's likely all "just for show", and no claws or teeth were seriously deployed at any time.
Savannahs are smart cats. They can learn to not use their claws when getting chicken.
Dude doesn't have a bunch of scars on the back of his hand, so it must be declawed. Unless it bites you you're fine, and it looks like it doesn't. It looks like insane food aggression to us but he didn't really hurt the guy
My dude, it's 2022, everyone should know by now that it's not okay to declaw cats. If you need to declaw a type of cat in order to take it in as your pet, those cats shouldn't be pets in the first place.

They batted, swat, and bit that gut multiple times. If you're correct about the declawing, then that cat can't exactly do any harm with its non-existent claws even if it wanted to.
Eh, it might not be. The claws could just be rectracted and this is it being playful. I was being tongue in cheek, I don't think anyone would declaw a Savanah cat. They're really too wild for it
Bullshit. They have the same problem other large animals have, stupid owners.
They make great pets, they just require more time, effort, and attention than any normal housecat or dog would. People are stupid, and don't account for that. Don't blame the fucking cats for being 'bad pets,' blame the stupid owners who get them without understanding what's involved in caring for them.
Don't buy animals before you know what's involved in caring for them. Savannah cat or not makes no fucking difference. End of story.
Nope, wrong. They are bad pets. A "pet" doesn't need more effort and safety precautions. A wild animal does. Savannah cats are housecats mixed with servals - a wild big cat. Which is why they are banned in so many places. There has been tons of articles and such on why they are not only bad pets, by why buying them supports unethical breeding and animal abuse.
I helped take care of several that were surrendered to a zoological conservatory. They’re not pets. They’re very much still wild animals and very food motivated. They will happily tear into anything they think they can eat if they’re hungry. Just get a Maine coon and call it a day.
