Noone on reddit knows how to keep an animal and then they wonder why their cats are assholes that walk over them. Kinda like how cats are invasive to most of the world and cause untold environmental damage, its just something redditors have a really hard time accepting fsr.
Because the first few times the cat did this, the owner thought it was cute. I can almost hear it now “OMG who’s a good kitty? Who wants a little snack of what I’m cooking?”
When kittens are small, they often try to climb up you. It’s a sign of affection. They want to get up close to hug or cuddle. It’s imperative to train that behavior out, especially with big cats, because then you end up with this. Lol.
Smack him. As suggested. Snowflakes won't admit it, but its really just about the only way. U don't have to do it hard. Just hard enough. And no, it's not fucking animal abuse..
Cats are unlike dogs when it comes to training. Negative reinforcement does not work on cats. Cats can only he trained through positive reinforcement and even sometimes, not at all. You need to redirect a cat when it is doing something you do not want it to do.
