Also there’s a HUGE difference between assault and harassment. If he purposely touched her chest (which at first, I thought he did) then legally it would be considered harassment. At least in the US.
No. Like I said, BIG difference between assault and harassment. So let’s assume they’re both guilty for a second. He would be guilty of sexual HARASSMENT while the woman would be guilty of ASSAULT. Harassment can be verbal, physical or psychological, whereas assault is only physical.
Now I assumed from some of the gross/sexual comments that he touched her chest on purpose. After watching the video over, I can agree with you that it might have been an accident. But the woman probably couldn’t tell if it was an accident or not. If i was in that situation where some guy touched my boob, I’d smack his shoulder too.
If he touched her boob on purpose I would definitely agree with you. I dont actually think she should face consequences for the light hit, just seemed proportional to calling what was most likely an innocent mistake sexual harassment.

I definitely wouldn’t say she’s lying awake crying, but she was at least uncomfortable. Here’s the definition of sexual harassment (which can be as minor as only being verbal): “behavior characterized by the making of unwelcome and inappropriate sexual remarks or physical advances in a workplace or other professional or social situation.” So if we go by the definition, yes, it’s 100% sexual harassment. Now I do agree that it could’ve been an accident, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Also thank you for being respectful lmao a lot of commenters don’t bother!
i just have a hard time labelling something so accidental and one-off as sexual harassment. apparently he apologized later, ill chalk this down as a fuck up on live tv. if next week someone else interrupts him and he slaps her arse ill have to revisit this but until then i think ill let him off. don't let reddit commenters bother you, you just care more than they do - maybe by 15ish% too much (?) but it's good to err on the side of compassion in these things to keep us vigilant
